Bar Aritana is located at number 9 Rua do Sol, in Carmo, and is open from Tuesday to Friday, from 4pm to 2am, and on Saturdays and Sundays, from 12pm to 4am. The place has no delivery service.
Jucilene de Souza dos Santos owns the establishment, which was opened by her parents in 1978. It is the first time that the bar participates in the contest. She explains that the dish offered at Bar Aritana is a family recipe.
“I increased it. I added the coalho cheese and the blowtorch. There is the cassava, the sun-dried meat and the maçaricado coalho cheese. I think now is my time to be known with this dish, which we already serve here for many people and our customers like it. Whoever eats it always comes back”, he said.
The dish, according to Jucilene, serves two to three people, depending on hunger. For 22 years, she has been running the pots, spices and recipes at the bar created by her parents. “I do it with a lot of love and affection,” she said.
Comida di Buteco will choose the best bar in Recife, Olinda and Jaboatão dos Guararapes
Comida di Buteco encourages establishments to use creativity to formulate dishes according to the theme chosen each year. As a result, each establishment creates a menu to praise pub food and family cuisine. (see video above).
The contest will choose the best pubs in each city. The first step is decided by the customers, who will be able to rate the snack, service, drink temperature and hygiene.
In a second stage, a panel of judges will visit the champions to choose the best in Brazil.
