How to change exercise goal on Apple Watch


The use of the Apple Watch makes it possible to expand the use of the Health app in a series of aspects, many of them focused on the issue of your daily movement and the practice of physical exercises.

The famous Fitness app icon symbolizes your three daily goals: counting calories expended from your movements (Movement Goal, red circle), minutes of physical exercise practiced (Exercise Goal, green circle) and hours of standing in the day ( Standing Goal, blue circle).

In the Apple Watch’s factory settings, the pre-set Fitness goals may end up not matching the reality of our daily lives. The Movement Goal, for example, is automatically and intelligently suggested based on a series of factors, such as your age, height, weight and captured movements. The other two goals already come with defined numbers, being 30 minutes of exercise per day and 12 hours of standing during your day – which means standing at least once during each hour of the day that you define as goal.

However, you can adjust these three goals as you see fit, so that it makes the most sense for your routine. Here’s how to change your daily fitness goal on Apple Watch:

Step 1: With the watch on your wrist, open the “Fitness” app on your Apple Watch.

Step 2: scroll down to the bottom and find the “Change Goals” option.

Step 3: set your daily calorie burn goal per movement. After that, click on “Next”.

Step 4: now, set your daily exercise time goal in minutes. Then click “Next” once more.

Step 5: finally, define how many hours of your day you have a goal of standing – which means, as mentioned, standing at least once during the course of each hour of the day that you set as a goal. Finally, click OK and that’s it, your goals have been reset.
