Zahrat Al Khaleej – “Central Park” .. the vibrant heart of New York and the memory of celebrities



Central Park is one of the most famous city parks in the world. It is located in New York downtown Manhattan. It stretches from 59th Street to 110th Street (and from Fifth Avenue to 8th), and has been imaginatively built with bits of pristine nature here and there, and while it may not be the most impressive on the list, its fame has become synonymous with culture and lifestyle. New York. First established in 1858, the park receives about 42 million visits annually, and is a vast green space in the heart of the city.

The park contains a variety of attractions and activities to do, regardless of whether it is summer or winter, such as: Strawberry Fields, whose name is associated with John Lennon, a famous member of the Beatles, who was shot in front of his apartment (Dakota Building), Near Central Park in 1980, after his death Strawberry Fields (one of the Beatles’ songs) was designated a symbol of peace, at a place in the park where fans come and leave flowers, poems and candles every day in memory of Lennon.

A popular attraction, too, within Central Park is the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir, which has been named after her since 1994, because of her commitment to the city, and because she loved jogging, and to this day the place is very popular for running, especially in the spring, when the trees are beautiful. The park also offers a variety of green spaces and recreational opportunities. From the Central Park Zoo, to the Water Gallery at Belvedere Castle; The central park carousel, or the Hans Christian Andersen statue, there are plenty of sights to see. Additionally, natural areas include Shakespeare’s Garden, bicycle, skate and hiking trails, woodland areas, baseball diamonds, and a conservatory garden.
